My experience during pandemic My experience of teaching-learning during the pandemic. February 19, 2021  Hello everyone..  The world was battling against  covid-19 and I was struggling to get connected with my students.Luckily I had a few  contact numbers of my students at the break of lock down and I created my first WhatsApp group and asked my students to add the rest. There were exchange of  messages and links  related to language, craft but mainly the group supplied with  the official matters along with  few health and safety related issues. The first group dealt with students with smartphone and internet access facility .2nd group included students having TV, radio facilities but not the internet connection and the third group comprised of students who had no access to TV ,radio or...

My identity as a writing teacher.

Teachers, by nature, are verbally strong. We are known for our usage of tongue than pen. So I always used my oral expressions to communicate my ideas to others. I used to write only when I was asked. So my narrative skills are backed by verbal skills as well as the call of the time.  Though, I was participating in various speech competitions, I was poor, disinclined in writing. (In that manner , it's better to say I am poor in writing.) I am Substandard in analysing anything critically but good at imagination ( I feel 🙂).  After entering into the teaching profession, I felt the need for creative writing, where I wrote few skits for my students on different occasions and made them enact. Then I realised that teachers writing identities also shape their writing instruction and affects the attitudes and values passed to the students about writing. With regard to my students, I haven't done anything so far to improve creative writing skills among them. But I will try to grow inte...
